In 2004, after much hard work, CIC opened the Cairo campus of Cape Breton University with more than 250 students & 2 schools: Business & Engineering Technology. By 2005, our student development office was born, as our approach was always modern & practical learning. We activated our cooperative agreement with more than 40 companies to help our students get experience in their fields. We expanded again in 2008 with the School of Mass Communication. A couple of years later, we took our approach & success to Sheikh Zayed, where we built our second campus in 2012.

Since we started this journey our aim was not only offering academic degrees, but the whole college experience. We want our students to get the best out of their time, develop their skills, acquire the knowledge needed & apply those experiences in real life.

Cape Breton University (CBU) has over more than 70 different student’s nationalities and strong international partnerships all over the globe. CBU promises and delivers an exceptional educational experience for students. CBU students and graduates are recognized nationally and internationally for their innovative accomplishments. The first Canadian university to offer a joint degree in Egypt, CBU in partnership with CIC, gives students the opportunity to obtain undergraduate degrees in business and engineering

University of Ottawa was established in 1848. The bilingual university has over 40000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and is one of the top universities in the world. In 2010 CIC collaborated with UOttawa to offer an Honors Bachelor of Art with specialization in Communication. More than 200 Egyptian students are now registered in the Canadian School of Communication. An exchange program with CIC is under consideration, which would allow interested uOttawa students to study abroad in Egypt for a session or for a full academic year.

Lakehead University is a public research university that is known for its unique undergraduate engineering programs since the 1965 with campuses in Thunder Bay and Orillia, Canada. In 2015 CIC signed an MOU with Lakehead University by which CIC graduates from the CBU Bachelor of Engineering technology (Mechanical or Electronics and Control) can join Lakehead and continue their study towards a Bachelor in Engineering that is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) of the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers.

The University of Windsor was established in 1857 and has a population of over 16,000 students. UWindsor’s School of Computer Science began in 1970 and offers two degree programs – the Bachelor of Computer Science (General) and the Bachelor of Computer Science (Honors). In 2011 agreement was signed between CIC Business Technology Information program and the University of Windsor where CIC students in the BTI Program can apply to transfer to UWindsor at any time during their study to complete their study towards a bachelor of computer science program.

“Today, we find a generation of CIC graduates working in major companies in Canada, Cairo and around the world . These graduates have become a source of pride for the CIC. Through them we can foresee the future and feel that our vision has become a reality and hope that through this new generation that our grads are part of Egypt can regain its status and lead this world and the secret lies in education and mainly education.”
